Congrats to Mondo Bungle and mr dave. Every life has it`s low points, so I`m glad to see you both, in your different ways, advancing out of the swamps...
Very envious of Sneer and FETCHER, who have access to such beautiful scenery. My advice to you would be, "Get into those hills as soon as you can". One of the best days in my life was walking this ridge, called Striding Edge, in the Lake District :- Also, I hope your health improves soon, FETCHER, or "Que te mejores" as they say here.

I was down at the lake district not long ago, it also was so beautiful. It was sunny too which made it a nice place to be. Loch Ard was pissing down and I'd just done 10k mountain biking followed by canoeing, needless to say I was ****ing freezing!
Also thanks Lisnaholic I'm trying to battle through . You could get a virgin train to Glasgow Central station Stu, it only takes about 4hrs. I'm not sure how you would get up to the highlands from there though. I need to follow your advice and get up there sooner rather than later.

Yeah I knew that there would some way up, I just thought it would have been by bus! I'd probably be driving up (would be cheaper for me) but I like the emptiness of that place, it'd be an awesome place to get lost for the day . That station also reminds me of Trainspotting haha.

Walking through town today I passed one of those civil warden types and he was on his walkie-talkie to someone saying 'a woman just coming out of the Colonades in a white dress'. I saw her walking along in front of me as I was just coming out of the Colonades too and thoguht she was with a group but then realised the group was a group of school kids and she was on here own. Wonder what that was all about! She can't have been a shoplifting suspect or they'd have gone and aprehended her there and then.

Got up at 4:50 after going to bed at midnight. Worked all day. Exhausted now and desiring home-made vegetarian lasagna. Listening to Codeine, about to eat said lasagna. Yay.
