Today I decided to leave the world of teenage alcoholism. That's a big deal for me. I've been homeless on two seperate occasions, and drank myself to sleep most every night, and I just felt terrible. But things are going a lot better, with my parents coming back a few weeks ago, and being more confident socially. Today I decided to discard my pessimism, and replace it with optimism.
So today I turned a new leaf. And it was a great day, too, got a hot girl's digits |

Hey thanks guys. I gotta be honest, I was expecting replies like: "You were a homeless teenage drunk? Your parents must be so proud."
They were tracked down a while back after they heard I was arrested for throwing a brick at a cop car. They support me entirely now, and things have been uphill since they bailed me out (figuratively). We've been rebuilding as a family, and today was the day I decided to turn around completely. The fire in my living room was a setback, though. |

But seriously. Good work, and keep up the good work. Don't let life drag you down, kick its ass and get up and going.

Also best of luck to Mondo Bungle, I've known a few people in similar situations. Best advice I can offer (I'm no professional so take it with a grain of salt) is try to find a sense of balance, countering the pessimism with optimism isn't necessarily bad, but it's bouncing from one extreme to the other and both provide their own set of instabilities and pitfalls. Grounded balance might not be fancy or outwardly impressive to the socially ambitious, but you're far less likely to stumble when you've got a strong baseline established. |
