A bit of debate is fine, but there are times where people will continuously say that they don't like the band, with no information provided as to why.

I'm all for debating about music, when the replies aren't constantly like:

"because they suck / because this song sucks / because they suck hard"

it gets pointless.

I suppose. I'm just very iffy about that sort of thing, I like an intellectual debate about anything over a pointless one that leads nowhere.

I mean, i'll debate Bring Me The Horizon and Alesana any day. I know a lot of people don't like them, but it does bring in a lot of fun debate.

I guess I view intellectual debate as kind of pointless too. At least with music debates there's really no good reason for anyone to get angry.

I think Alesana are worth a listen. Some would consider them straight up rock, whereas others would consider them a post-hardcore band.
