Just consider yourself lucky I didn't bring out the big guns (Alaska & Hawaii) ;)

Those are beautiful too. As I said before, I love the west. It's just that I'm capable of seeing the beauty in many other places as well.

I am too, the Adirondacks are great, so are the Great Lakes, the far North East (Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire), and of course the coast.

Sometimes I forget how beautiful nature is. I am not even trying to sound cheesy. Some of those pictures are stunning.

Glad to see you've come around.

I love the east! We have Florida and the keys, as well as all the cool old history of the Mid Atlantic area. I'd like to check out California and the southwest sometime, but who knows when that will be. I know I'm gonna get to see Oklahoma in around a month, which will be further west than I've ever been (at this point that would be Tennessee). Not looking forward to it TOO much, since, you know, they're incredibly tornado prone and they've been having quite a few tornadoes recently. They also happen to be home to the fastest wind speed ever recorded from a tornado. It's nbd.

You're probably right, I'm not 100% on which part is on what side. I think the Canadian side is the more stunning looking part though. Canada on the whole is a marvel to look at. From what I've seen, it looks like an extension of what you see in Washington, Oregon, and Montana.

The West in general is amazingly varied in it's climates and landscape. The southwestern U.S. deserts are definitely awesome, so are the mountains in Colorado and Nevada, the glacial areas in Wyoming and Montana. Hell, the west even has rainforests up in Washington.

Okay, yeah those falls are on the Canadian side.

Your side (although funnily enough you can't get a clear view of the American falls from the US side):

Our side:

I like the Canadian side better, because you can see both falls (like we can see the American ones dead on), and there's more stuff to do in the town.

Yeah, I think Western Canada is very much like Washington and Oregon (especially BC), and parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan are probably very similar in climate and landscape to Montana, as they are also situated in the Great Plains. But I'm not entirely sure - I've never been out that way.

When I think of the West, I think prairies, mountains, deserts, awesome landscapes... all of it. We don't really have any of that out here :(

I'd love to see a rainforest. I'm surrounded by forests, but they're far less interesting. Although the area my dad lives in was just made a wildlife refuge, because they say there's a lot of rare plants and animals that are endangered (the bog turtle being one of them), so that's pretty interesting. I've always loved seeing pictures of the southwest since I was a kid. I'm not sure what it is. I also really want to see the redwoods.

Redwoods are very cool, I'd check out the sequoias too if I were you.
