Nooooo!
Okay, so I'm going to start training for something soon, and I asked someone else who's about to start training for this (a guy I went to high school with) about this training pursuit. He's a really nice guy. Anyway, I get hooked up with some numbers and whatnot, and things are looking awesome. Then, the guy from high school messages me about how he's had the biggest crush on me since high school, and how much he's looking forward to being able to hang out with me... Jesus fuck. I feel horrible, because he IS such a nice guy, but I'm not into guys, and every time I tell one that they're a good guy BUT (that always seems to hurt their feelings when I get to the word 'but') I'm not into guys. Half the time, they think that's just a cheap way to let them down and that I'm just saying I'm gay because I'm too cowardly to just say no. Not true. Also, every single guy I went to high school with who I've seen since graduation is always all, "I had the biggest crush on you in school..." This has just made my day not good.

Same.
So it snowed big time in Oregon. I woke up to a foot of snow and wasn't expecting any. It was quite a laugh. Bunch of trees came down under the weight of the snow and cars stuck here and there. It was pretty dang funny. Until I went to go get my free lunch at Catholic community services and they were closed due to weather. Later, went to the free dinner place and they were closed due to weather also. So, all the homeless food services closed due to snowy weather it seems. I reckon the snow should be all the more reason to be open. Thankfully I have food stamps, but I seriously wonder about the other folks. I mean, I can almost guarantee someone died from hypothermia last night somewhere in town. Those that lived through the cold have to go through their cold day hungry? But oh, when the sun's out they'll be open. This town is very good to the poor and homeless, and I was kind of surprised this is how things go down in these circumstances. Just seems a bit backwards. I didn't see snow like this on my January-March in Idaho. I can also tell the town was taken by surprise by how few roads were plowed. Funny day, but a bit of a downer b/c my buddy has basically committed himself to hibernation until the weather clears up. |
