Sooo...I think I might be the only one from my lab submitting an abstract for a talk at the American Society of Plant Biologists Symposium this year. Wow, the pressure is on.

300 words...no citations. It should preferably be on the molecular physiology and development of the plant cell wall. I can sponsor you. It's due by the end of the day, so I'll be checking my PMs. I'm expecting nothing short of Nobel-worthy work from you, Jans.

Horrible tornado outbreak today. It hailed for quite some time, and we saw a funnel cloud in the distance at my buddy's house. It apparently touched down. The next county over, where some close friends of mine live (like twenty minutes away from my house, ten from his) had one touch down, (presumably the same one we saw) and two confirmed deaths in the county.
Horrifying. Two confirmed deaths about 40 minutes away in West Liberty, too. I have friends there, but they are all right, have updated their facebook and said their houses are fine, which is superb. Currently, there is a **** ton of wind, and the sky still looks evil.
