God I havnt smoked in 2 months, the longest I have ever gone. It feels great to know I can stop when I want but Holy Crap do I want to smoke. Anytime someone mentions it I get all reminiscent and warm inside.

The funny and kind of sad part is since I have stopped I hang out with a lot of people less. Little sad that drugs/weed was the basis of many "friendships".

Same here. I have just been doing art and writing jobs, which fortunately don't drug test.

Honestly, I've tried to do even food service, but all of them drug test...so I have been living off of my art, writing, and theatre. It's not ideal, because essentially I'm getting the same amount of cash as people working minimum wage...

But I seriously love smoking too much to quit right now. I've got a place to live, I'm comfortable...I just hope that things will change.

What do you do for work, sounds interesting.

Nothing steady. I'll write for the local paper, when they need a writer. I'll do art for people I know, and they'll pay me $20+ dollars per work. I will find online sources who need pieces, and they'll pay me most times. Sometimes, I'll get work as an actor or director, which is like $75-$250 a piece, depending.

Essentially, I'm just mostly lucky.

When the arts are worth nothing, I'll be worth nothing.

Could I look at any artwork? Im curious what kind of pieces people ask you to do.

Well, one that I was recently paid for is a Batman:

It's not worth the $125 I was paid for it.

I dont know how one can put a specific number value on any art as its in the eye of the beholder. Thats a very cool drawing though. Did you go to art school or anything or just practice whenever you can? Sorry bout all the questions!

No; I just realized in my first semester that people would pay me for art. I just basically tried to do what they wanted, but I still think that my art is the lesser of my talents...I think that my writing and acting is better...but I get paid more to do art than anything else.
