I like to think I'm getting better about it with age, but I still have those days where I want to do nothing but look at the ground, and basically get away from other people as fast as possible. That's low self-esteem for you. |

The first girl I slept with has a kid now as well, so I can also vouch for the strange feelings that linger. Even though she had the child a full year after we had sex, there was still this niggling thought in the back of my mind that made me wonder if I was the father.

The problem was there seemed to be no way to rationalize away an irrational fear caused by a mental issue. You know it's irrational, but you can't control it. Now days it's dramatically different. I don't know if I trained myself to respond differently to the irrational thoughts or what. I'm still more self-conscious than I consider to be normal, but I no longer let my mind run away with the irrational fears that come with it. But I think you're right about it getting better with age. As I've aged, I generally care less and less about how I'm perceived, so that helps things and I feel like I have a greater degree of control as a result.

I have my Biochem test in 1.5 hours. I ****ing hate night exams. I ****ing hate biochemistry. If this test is really hard (this school loves to "challenge" people in ridiculous ways) I am going to flip a ****.

Not particularly, but there about 100 enzymes I need to know and the genius scientists who discovered them decided to give them all similar names.
Here's an example: phosphofructokinase phosphoglucmutase phosphoglucose isomerase glycogen phosphorylase The list goes on and on. My head is going to explode.
