I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom. My piss was orange-red and it scared the shit out of me until I realized that I had beets last night.

I had to wake up at 6:30am for class today...I'm already in a pissed off mood because of this and my only respite is coffee and a nice warm shower. Someone decided to take an extra long shower because there was no damn hot water. WTF. Bad start to my day.
Thankfully, it's been getting a bit better. I got an A on the quiz we had to take last class (and Biochemistry is NOT my subject). I sent in slides for my lab meeting today and got an email back from the boss...I think, "Uh oh...what did I do wrong now?" He only responds to bitch about something. Instead I get an email saying "Nice work." This. Never. Happens. I think I might print this out and frame it. So things are looking up...but I can't get too comfortable...

I'm not going to lie, D&D is a magical experience. The Lighting, showing off how pale our skin is, the glimmer of the sparkly d20s, the off key songs sung by my character: the mentally challenged bard (i'm the Tard Bard) and of course, the unusual and often surreal situations involved. But what was great was the communal joy of roleplaying and becoming a new person for a few hours. I got to be an incredibly dumb bard, my other friends ranging from alcoholic clerics to angry ogres. using the power of rock, I defeated a fellow bard in a death metal sing off, convinced a freak show carnie to give us a changeling and raised my partner's attack points by encouraging them with song.

Went to a custom car show today and ended up buying yet another project.
Got home and thought I;d be clever and add some vodka to the 3 quarters of a bottle of raspberry soft drink i have............result! Something akin to putting mentos into diet cola.......red **** everywhere |
