I drive back and forth between two busy cities daily. I got my car for free and I'm not going to complain about it!

I live in the fifth most populous city in the country and commute to work in the most densely populated state every day and I drive a stick. I'm still happy without an automatic. :p:

Having that little extra omph of acceleration when you want it is a great thing when you live in a place with a more aggressive driving style.

The only time I hate driving a stick is when I have to parallel park on a hill in the snow.

i drive a manual also

it's hellishly fun at traffic lights when i want to feel like a drag racer

Hey! :D Driving an automatic was not a pleasant experience for me, and I don't want to drive one ever again. I'll take the bus over driving an automatic.

Had to do that this morning. It's really the only downside.

And the transmissions usually last the life of the car, unlike automatics. Automatics were made for lazy people and old women.

soooooo old man winter finally rears his ugly head

here in about an hour or two i'll go into work to pick up a load going to Martell, Tracy and San Jose (CA)......the thing is as of right now chains are required going over Donor Pass.....by the time i get there they are expecting there to be over 6 inches on the road with 20 mph winds!!!!!

the nice thing is all i have to do tonight is get to a safe place in Sacramento....so i have plenty of time to relax and just take it slow

but still.....80 foot truck, snow, wind....just freaks me the fuck out!!!!!

if i can get some nice pics i'll post them later
