And I think that the cold weather is more than just to do with the water temperature of the sea. I think all the pollution must be absorbing some of the solar radiation to a certain extent, thus preventing heat from reaching the earth as much. When we drive into the city each morning, the thermometer usually drops a couple of degrees from out in the country. I think we're starting to get global cooling. |

Yeah there are more effects than simply the water cooling - it's affecting weather formations and the mixture of warm and cold fronts is what causes stormy weather. I don't have any sort of real experience with meteorology, so I can't say anything conclusive, but basically, from what I am told, Global "Warming" exaggerates the weather - what was cold is now colder, what was warm is warmer. And rather obviously, extreme weather is bad, but doubly extreme weather (quickly switching between the two) is rather worse, as it's very hard to prepare for extreme heat and extreme cold at the same time.
At any rate, We're still coming out of the last Ice Age, so the Earth would be getting hotter anyway. It's not all mankind's fault, but I can't imagine we're helping matters, and if we screw with the cycle it could have rather adverse effects... like we're seeing.

I agree with that.
Although I think that the human race is still largely responsible for a lot of the effects. Originally we were just worrying about CFC's reacting with the ozone and creating the hole, but now we're worrying about acid rain devastating forests and melting statues. I think everyone ought to be like me and ride bikes |

If everyone was like you the effect would be nullified from all the hot air coming out of your gob.

I'm not sure if that's the effect he's going for.

No, I think it is. He's the first person on this site to have worked out exactly how to push all my buttons. He's making these cheap harmless digs purely for my amusement, which I think is very nice of him. It is Music BANTER after all! I think I can take a bit of harmless fun.
Either that or he's giving me a subtle hint to piss off.... |
