What's the new job?

Looks like I have a job and back doing what I do best: being a chef. Got a few hours trial on Monday to do but if that's goes well then the job is mine and I don't usually suffer from nerves in these sort of times so fingers crossed and the workplace is a 10 minute walk.

Going to see The Mission and Fields Of The Nephilim in 2 weeks in what was a sellout gig in under a week and got a call today to say that we have invites to the after show party too. Happy days.

I got a voucher for £8 off my next lot of food shopping (this is definitely a big help at this time) and got confirmation that I will be seeing Killing Joke a week before my 40th and then next day off to a 3 day festival. That is going to be one hell of a week. Feck slowing down. Life begins at 40 doesn't it?

Did you go? I went to the Occupy Austin one today. I had a lot of fun hanging out with some old hippies and shit.

It's a web developer position. So a little outside my normal realm as a designer but it's actually a fantastic opportunity broaden my experience and my skill set. Plus it easily has the best benefits package of anywhere I've ever worked. I'm pretty excited about it.

Okay, so I still have to go tomorrow. BUT. I seriously found my perfect woman. I thought initially it was a fluke...because she was mad into Harry Potter...but then Ayn Rand came into play, and that was mad.

Then, today, I said I'm going for Halloween as the Log Lady from Twin Peaks, and her response, completely unprovoked was: "Twin Peaks?! With Kyle Maclachlan! Holy crap, I love Kyle MacLachlan!"

Therefore, I believe her to be my soulmate. No nans.

(which was actually quite funny)

Today, I was chosen to plan our company Christmas party ..
I think the only reason I got picked was because I'm the only female who works here.
I work in the entertainment industry so they're expecting something amazing.
I could use some suggestions, only if you want to suggest.

I'm probably going to screw this up.
