I just got home. The roads were inundated with water and I legitimately thought I was either gonna die, or just not make it home. At one point I was driving up a steep hill that had two streams going down either side. It was downpouring too. Oh, and the car felt like it was going to lose power. The lights dimmed for a second, and then went back to normal. Absolutely terrifying.

Well. Just found out a few minutes ago that a friend of mine with whom I've done theatre and hung out for the past six or seven years has just had a stroke.

His wife said it was a minor stroke, and he's walking and talking, but they have no idea how much damage it may have done yet.

I hope he's okay, and am completely torn up right now.

Today I went out for a walk and got lunch because it was a good day. Naturally, I ate in a park, but before I even started walking out of my street, I see this shabby, scared looking dog I run into occasionally. I think he's a stray as I don't see a collar and he looks pretty rough. He also looks terrified whenever someone walks up to him. I'm thinking about taking some dog food out with me when I go take walks in the future, see if I can make a new friend.
