Today I nearly did the most terrible thing ever. I've been meaning to watch Four Lions on my Sky box for days now, and with some free time I almost did it today. It was only as I was about to press Play when I remembered what day it was.

Hung over from last night's drinking binge, 4 beers in under an hour before the show, three beers in under an hour at the show, then a 40 of Mickeys in between sets. Don't think I got that drunk cause I remember most of the night, but my head is killing me this morning. I might only be 23, but I can't drink like a young man anymore.

got a soldering gun and a scraper from the massive hardware store. Man, I can't wait to finally replace my input jack on my guitar and fix my RAT 2.

I had been working longer hours at work, to bank myself a little flexi-time, and decided to take today off as I was feeling a little run down. I've done precisely nothing all morning and am still chilling out, listening to some Opeth, before going out to play some snooker and then watch Newcastle vs QPR later in the pub.

Things are pretty good right now. Booked myself a couple of gigs I'm looking forward to, went and caught some of the Edinburgh Fringe festival a few weeks back, was very proud of my niece getting terribly impressive GCSE results and starting Sixth Form, had a few great nights out with friends, taking on a little more responsibility at work and actually rather enjoying it, and of course enjoying having some money in my pocket after being unemployed for so long.

Long may it continue.

Been having an overwhelming couple of weeks trying to adapt to school and work. School has been fulfilling so far but I'm still not on top of everything that I need to be and time is going by so fast haha. Been getting pulled around by this girl for a while, she's been on my mind a lot since we started seeing each other. A few weeks ago her and I had a little break of all communication, she seemed like she wasn't interested in me at all anymore but all of the sudden she has sparked interest again...not really sure if I should go back to being involved with her. I've heard from a good friend of mine that she's kind of a player in a sense of getting guys into her and then she bails on them (but she never comes back to them apparently). So I've been trying to decide if it's going to be a wise choice spending time with her again...

Life is an interesting journey.
