I met a girl at a party (I say met, she asked me if it was my party, I said no it wasnt) about three years ago and subsequently became besotted. This is something that just doesn't happen to me, it was an instant thing. We've barely uttered 20 words to each other over the handful of times we've clocked each other since, mainly because I am such a coward, and it's highly likely she harbours no attraction towards me whatsoever. The problem is I do see her around regularly because we live in the same area, but she's just too beautiful to approach in my feeble mind.

Guess what I'm saying is I can empathise with your situation to a degree. At least you've taken that step and achieved conversational status with her, I never did and this damn girl still consumes a great deal of my thoughts. If you like her enough, and you feel at ease around her, just lay your cards on the table. You'll regret it if you don't. If she says no, which in all honesty is probable given the circumstances, at least you can walk away knowing that you tried. DO consider the best way to do this before launching into it though.

Then again, who am I to dish out such advice.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but three years? That sounds like you've been given conrete shoes and thrown into the friend zone.

I've got some health problems so it's been totally impractical to even try and be in a relationship till my health improves which it is doing and why i've been a bit more pro-active lately.

I`ve never been but I know of it pretty well as I`m from that part of the world. It was also common practice that the asylum would let out some of the inmates that weren`t dangerous (seen as harmless) to go for walks unsupervised from time to time.

Anyway, about 15 years ago I was out cycling with a friend and we were coming back through one of the country lanes near the hospital one afternoon and my mate got a puncture, so while he was fixing it I noticed a guy walking towards us and from the looks of him he looked like one of the inmates (shaved head, strange looking eyes and strange attire-wearing a shirt and tie on a country lane) He was also carrying a canvas bag. Anyway he came up to us and said hello and asked if we`d been in an accident and we said no and explained the puncture, whilst chatting I noticed his bag was open and saw inside amongst some clothes an axe!!! I s(h)it myself but stayed calm, after the guy had left us I told my friend and well he s(h)it himself as well, later on we passed the guy quickly on our bikes and I noticed that he was ranting and raving about something to himself.

I`d completely forgot that it had shut down, but from the description you`ve given, it sounds like something out of a Silent Hill video game.

He admittedly has never seen her outside of her job. So how could they be friends? Sounds pretty creepy and stalkerish to me honestly. Talking about getting rid of her boyfriend, thats just odd, especially considering she offered up that information knowing you were interested in her. I'd put the brakes on and call it a day and move on.

I was stuck in the friend zone with a girl I worked with and didn't hang out with. We weren't the best of friends or anything, but we talked a lot at work.

Well, I don't know him or his situation barely at all, so I'm not gonna make assumptions about him that at least I can't be confident in making.

Well he just thoroughly explained it in detail, so what isn't there to know about his situation.

Well, you just sort of called him creepy without actually knowing anything about him, which I find premature.

I don't think he's seroiusly thinking about harming her bf. In my situation, I was making light of hearing that news. I'm not serious

I didn't call him creepy, I said his actions sound creepy. He said verbatim, i've been moderately stalking this girl for 3 years, those were his words. He said her boyfriend was gonna lose her and called the guy a bozo, you don't find that a lil bit odd? Honestly.
