Yippie!!

Now I can check MusicBanter for updates any time any place any where on a screen the size of a postage stamp.
Hooray for technology

As far as I'm concerned no email is so important that it can't wait till I'm next on a computer rather than shell out a couple of hundred quid for one of these bloody things.
So how much did you shell out so you can check MB for updates on a screen the size of a postage stamp?

I have a top of the range HTC sensation and its a f*ck of a lot bigger than a postage stamp.

And people were giving me **** for not having one

Yeah, these HTC screens are ginormous. Good going man.

Today, my mom decided to make me a cake and drop it by my office.

Holy sh*t, that is one intense-looking cake.
Your mom is pro.

Why do Americans say mom and not mum? I've always pondered this and it has baffled me for years.

That cake is also ****ing top!

^^I think "mum" means "to keep silent/quiet" about something

i heard them use "mum's the word"

Bingo! We use mum in a different way. I had a quirky friend that always called her mother mum but she was always trying to be different.

It probably did start off as 'mum' but when Americans talk they have a habit of putting the emphasis on the wrong vowels.

Like how whenever I've heard any American say the word 'Bollocks' it always seems to comes out as 'Baaaarluucks'

I currently work as a cashier at Dollar General.

The lady who owns the only tanning salon in town offered me a job today.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

I'm going in today to get specifics like hours, pay, whatever else. But unless I hear something I really don't like, I will be working there this school year.

DO YOU REALIZE WHAT THIS MEANS?
