There is a nostalgic factor that draws people to watch the movies

When I said I don't see the appeal of them I was talking from my childhood too.

I don't know they were pretty badass, I had several of them. I had the original die cast Optimus Prime that was heavy as hell and could knock out a friend that was getting lippy. I'm pretty sure I used Prime as a weapon a couple of times.

I was a cynical kid.
I hated He-Man as well because the cartoon looked like one long commercial for action figures my parents couldn't afford.

I was a spoiled little brat that got all the toys I wanted.
My favorites were Transformers, GI Joe action figures, I had a He-man but didn't play with it much. Thundercats and Voltron toys, I was still missing one of them to make the arm though. I hated how they would gate the Voltron toys, they would sell all four in your area then the last one would be in limited supply or you'd have to drive a few towns over to find it because they have a large supply but lacked in another area.

Might as well go ahead and do a pre-need funeral plan while you're at it. That way your family doesn't play Celine Dion at your service. Just saying.
