Got to see some fireworks on base, that was pretty cool. This weekends going much better for me and I managed to get really lucky and get through some things without getting kicked out of the Navy, very thankful for that. I spent most of the day messing around with my monome, playing some keyboard, and listening to and finding new music. I also decided today that I am going to bust my ass for the next few years practicing piano constantly to get into Peabody. I'm not sure if it'll happen but I'm sure as hell going to try.

I can shoot off a one liner that will sting for days but I can't form a coherent argument, especially when I'm talking rather than writing. I can't express my ideas in the way that I'd like to be able to. When I'm passionately opposed to something, I can't talk about it without coming off as a flailing dumbass. I freeze up. I'm just not composed.

My neighbour died today. He was a legendary Finnish skier so there was alot of media people on our yard. It's pretty sad :(

I just got back from Taiwan. Well, I got back last Friday, but whatever. First day back to work...and it's kickin my ass. Barely got any sleep last night because I'm just not on that schedule anymore.

The above pic is from inside the National Palace Museum. You aren't allowed to take pictures in there...but I did. Oops. Interesting fact...go to the Forbidden City in China and it is empty. Taiwan has all the stuff that was in there. Before you go thinking they are thieving crooks, they actually saved the stuff. When the PRC took over, they were going to destroy all national treasures representing the ROC...so Taiwan took that **** and saved it. Now China wants it back and Taiwan is saying tough nuggets.
