Silver lining maybe you can get some better music to add to your collection.

That happened to me once with my old laptop. I took it to a computer shop, and even though the computer was basically a write off, they were still able to salvage a lot of information that was on the HDD. After that, I got an external HDD! Maybe you could see if some stuff can be saved?

I tried looking through the hard drive but it's damaged beyond repair. The computer doesn't even recognize the hard drive when I plug it in to the USB adapter.

Aww that's too bad. It sucks having to start over, believe me I've been there!

DC you can always bring it to a shop for data extraction if the information is truly valuable. There is always a way to bring back data
