Well the financial man was here today to talk about the mortgage and it seems like this is going to work. It's a semi-detached bungalow with a big ass attic. I may turn a part of that attic into a bedroom because I will use one bedroom as my studio (it's connected to my living room en-suite, which is very practical). The other bedroom is a bit too small so I think I will make a storage room out of that. Not sure yet. Eitherway... Yeah, there is a chance I'll be moving soon. Woohoo! On my own, finally .

Working on writing and recording an album of at least 20 minutes or 30 short tracks (whichever comes first!) in a 24 hour period. Inspired by the Crap Art Album-A-Day thing, which I recently rediscovered...having seen it forever ago before I played an instrument that wasn't French Horn.

It's going to be awful. Yes, it's going to be rough. I can't fall back on any covers, because it all has to be original work, written within this 24 hour period. I know the site seems way out of date, but I'm not doing it for the site! I'm doing it for the experience.

Anyway, I'd better get back to it. Halfway through the first song (it'll probably clock in at 2 minutes or so) and only have 23 hours and 20 minutes left!

Worked all day. It sucked, but it was great when I went off on both bosses.

Probably inspired by the NoFX EP 'Surfer'
Hear hear!

The record was released on Fat Mike's record label, Fat Wreck Chords. The methodology for writing and recording the songs was much the same as the band's **** the Kids EP. Fat Mike wrote all of the songs in a limited amount of time, claiming to have only given himself ten minutes to finish each one, and did not teach the songs to the rest of the band until the day of recording. The EP was recorded in two full-day sessions, making it one of the band's fastest-completed EP or album recording, second to **** the Kids which was recorded and mixed in a day and a half.

Haha, that's awesome! I'm on a mini-break to refuel my body with caffeine at the moment. Almost finished writing song #3...which will amount to about 8 total minutes of original material so far, out of the minimum 20 minutes.

I've got some work to do.

there is no time table and when inspiration comes to you, you take advantage and roll with the punches.
