It's just a long running sh*t storm. She left me last year and took my son, filed a restraining order, and filed for divorce. Then she begged for me back, and we got back together. When we got our income tax refund she went bat-sh*t crazy about money and lost her mind again. She's diagnosed bi-polar and paranoid schizophrenic. Quite the handful. I'm just strung out over it right now.

that's true to a certain extent.

everyone deals with divorce in their own way and it seems that the older the kids are the harder they take it for some strange reason.

I had an ex that took it so hard that it completely changed who she was as a person and I couldn't deal with being in a relationship with the new person she changed into. So I had to end that relationship.

Oh well, i'm sorry to hear that. I have her diagnosis well just the paranoid schizo part. Is she on meds for it?

She takes her meds when she feels like it. For some people, medication is useless.

that's how I am. Well actually I just decided to not take my meds at all whatever.

Medication is pointless as far as I'm concerned. I feel like I'm more well adjusted off the meds than I am when I'm on them. You'd never know that I was diagnosed with that condition.

I understand why she doesn't take them or takes them whenever she wants. People with our condition, sometimes just don't trust the drugs period.

I've seen her with and without the drugs, I prefer her without. Her current regimen of Effexor and Invega was doing okay for her, but they made her have terrible nightmares.

The last pills I was on Abilify, made me wake up in the middle of the night with heart palpitations. So, I said fuck that and flushed them all down the toilet. I haven't taken a pill since.

Abilify didn't help her at all, and it cost nearly $500 for a month's supply. The best drug for her (in my opinion) was Lithium. She seemed the most normal on it, but it gave her the shakes.

everyone is different though, some times meds work for people and for others they just don't

I'm lucky that I have tax payer dollars footing the bill for my meds. I just head to the local VA Clinic and pick up my meds free of charge. Well they used to be free and now I just recently started getting a bill but it's not bad. 5 bucks for a month's supply.
