She only enjoys it for the meal discount
I just got back from a Gift of Gab show in San Francisco; he performed solo work, Blackalicious work, and Lateef the Truthspeaker came out and they performed some Mighty Underdogs. Crowd was only halfway decent. Seemed like a lot of heads there just came on a whim and had no idea. It was like there was 10 hardcore fans in the house BUT everyone did get down and had fun. It was an 'epic' show and there was no denying it. 2 Lagunitas Brown Shugga and some purple kush. Place got liberally smoky halfway through his set. Lots of pretty women, but honestly, I spent the whole concert focusing on the artist and vibin' ... I don't know how you're supposed to enjoy the music/pay your respect to the artist and dabble with all these women that clearly want someone to just come up to them. Is that so wrong, to go to a show and blow off all the females and just watch the show? Especially when you live an hour away, and you're carpooling with friend(s)... Ha, I bet it sucks to be a straight woman in SF, though. Last edited by Mrd00d; 02-18-2011 at 05:30 AM. |

I think she's saying that because she doesn't want to look young. She probably gets carded all THE time.

No, I don't want to look young. I get carded to buy LOTTERY TICKETS. And everytime I buy alcohol, they look especially skeptical, even when I show them my ID. If I don't put on a moderately significant amount of makeup, I apparently look way too young.

I went out last night to an open-mic night to see one of my friends perform. After that i went to a club and i can't really remember much from about 1am onwards. I remember meeting a black dude from Mississippi though and trying to keep a straight face while he was talking! He was a crazy guy.
Had a nice lie-in this morning as i have no college today but i still managed to get started on an assignment.

train, almost home. Now between stations Roermond and Echt. Go google that .
The other train was very crowded. Love the space I have now even though this is an old, noisy, shaky train (google: ns plan v if you're interested).

Woke up at 8:45 with one of those "Damn I didn't get enough sleep" headaches. Popped an Ibuprofen and made it to class by 9. Sat through a boring philosophy class as usual, started watching a KICK ASS movie that just came out this week. It's a documentary called Waiting For Superman. We are watching it in my Families and Social Class class so I only saw the first 50 minutes, but I was glued to the screen. All Americans should watch this documentary. Then I kicked my Spanish test in the nuts and ate some fish and mashed potatoes for lunch. Now I'm lounging with a chew in, listening to A Tribe Called Quest

Woke up, made my ex tea and some knackebrod with cheese.
Ate a sandwich myself, my ex had to go somewhere, so I put on some music and had some coffee. Waited for her to come back, thought it took too long, talked with her for a while, went to bagels & beans with her, packed my stuff, hugged for a bit, went to the station, bought an uncut magazine, hugged a bit more, waved her goodbye, got to my train, transferred to another train, got in my car, drove home. Gonna get me some crackers with cheese now. And a beer. yeah.
