At least she found my vein at the first attempt. My mother's come out of that doctor's surgery in the past with her arm looking like a pincushion.

Came home to discover that there is a massive fire in a big apartment complex right down the street from my apartment. I've really never seen anything like it in person before. There were huge waves of flame shooting up into the sky, and according to the news reports I read later, 160 firefighters on the scene. When I got home I noticed in the mirror that I had little specks of soot all over my face. The fire has been going for almost 8 hours now and I can still smell smoke and hear helicopters flying around my neighborhood. Pretty crazy.

I just got back home from my first ever zumba class. If you don't know what that is, it's a cross between aerobics and latin dancing. All great sounding, except this instructor didn't have a warm up...he went from zero to 60 at light speed...and then continued for an ENTIRE HOUR.

I'm going to go wash the stank off and die in my bed now.
