I really don't see the problem with going to a show alone, especially if it's in a seated venue. I've done it a few times after being ditched last minute or being unable to find anyone to come with me... just dance away the insecurities in a dark corner by yourself.

I agree. I always think that it wouldnt be so bad when i'm actually AT a gig and realise i would be fine right now if i left my mates and went and hung out by myself for a while anyway. Plus i do it all the time at festivals.

It would just be getting over the hang up of going to a show as a loner, actually doing it sometime and then i would be cool with it, i think.

Today I submitted 11 job applications. Each application was 10 pages long. And I probably won't get any of them. FML!

God, do I know how you feel. Luckily, for me, most applications involve attatching my CV to the email and typing up a covering letter. It'd easy. I've had some shocking time-consuming ones as well though with different surveys to take and things to fill out that have taken 45 minutes to an hour or so.

But still, i take a similar attitude. I apply for things but I never actually expect to hear back from any of them at all. It's worth it though, as you only need to hear back from one of them.
