I could not feel any more sorry for you. I've watched bits and pieces of the Popes trip to Scotland today (as its been on TV all damn day long) and it was annoying me watching it from here.

Yeah it was a nightmare man. And also, it disrupted all the public transport in the city too, after the shift me and some of the other workers walked about a half a mile from the park to a train station only to find out the trains weren't running on that line. Then walked another half a mile till we eventually found a bus running to town. Took ages to get home.

The Pope's down in England now, I hope he's not coming anywhere near where you live because it causes chaos all day! I'm not religious either, and I couldn't help but be a little overwhelmed by how ridiculous the whole thing seemed.

Nothing day, just boring and unfulfilling. I finish work in 5 minutes though so I'm going to my friends after work to eat pizza and watch Ghost World. Awesome.

I finished my stupid contract yesterday! (Converting 6600 slides to digital photographs, one by one on POS equipment. Tedium itself.) So today I get to drive 90-ish minutes to go return everything and deliver the results. The upshot of this is 1) I should also get paid today (yay!) and 2) I'm going to swing by my mom's house, pick up a bunch of stuff and say hello to my kitties.

Then, once I get back, I have to find a doctor compatible with my insurance/taking new patients and make an appointment, as I've just about had it with this stomach crap.

Also yes, Ghost World is great. It's been years since I watched that--I should put it on again.

It's one of my favourite films. Unfortunately I forgot to put it in my bag to take with me so we watched Dogma and Pulp Fiction instead. Good night.

Brilliant night right there, the dancing scene from Pulp Fiction is one of my favourites ever. As is the film.

I'm yet to see Dogma, but I adore Clerks, I love Clerks II and I really like Chasing Amy. I need to get round to watching Dogma, since it's one of Kevin Smith's better films.

What else did yer get up to? I had McDonalds and watched a couple of films alone. I really should start making plans on Friday and Saturday nights again. Having a social life again sounds appealing.

Dogma was pretty good. Definitely worth the watch btw.

I'll get around to it, I have City of God, Let The Right One In, Pans Labyrinth, Once Upon A Time In America, Serpico and Wall-E that are higher on my list of films I'm embarrassed to not have already seen, that I really need to watch.

Oh, what? Of all the people on here I'd have expected you to have seen Dogma. It's one of those films I thought everyone had watched! It is absolutely marvellous, have you not watched Mallrats or Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back? Also brilliant.

We just hung out, watched those films, ate pizza and talked a lot. It was great. And my two friends who are a couple convinced me to go to Bestival next year cos they've completely sold it to me. Sounda marvellous.

And yes a social life is good on the most part as long as you have good friends/get up to good stuff. I do like my own company a lot though.
