Yep. I'm always pleased when I or someone else makes it through another day. When I wake up in the morning, I think, "Oh good! I survived to live another day! How nice."
Dying would be a bit of a bummer.

I've only been in one car accident and it was fairly low speed (around 35mph), but even that was enough to show me what it felt like to have 2 heavy ass metal beasts collide. If what I went through was the low end, I never want to know what it feels like at higher speeds.
I've also done the swervy-lose-control thing, but it was in town. I was just turning right onto a road and all the sudden I just started doing 360's until I ended up perfectly straight going the right direction in the opposite lane. Funny thing is, I was turning right so I could then turn around and go the direction I did the spin into. In the moment where I was spinning, though, there is this feeling of acceptance that I was about to get into a horrible accident and there is nothing I could do about it. When you can walk away with less damage than what you expected, that's when it feels weird. Glad you are ok, Janszoon!

I believe I got fairly fucked today... I got orders... to stay in LeMoore for the next 3 years after a quick visit back home to VA. It appears that there's much, much less to do than here in Pensacola, no music to speak of, and the only attraction listed in the town on wikipedia is an old house that is now a museum. And under the media section 1 low power FM operated by kids at the high school. It's CA like I wanted, but seems to be 3 hours from everything (LA, the beach, San Francisco). At least the weekends should be fun!

Her music isn't usually my cup of tea, but it was better than I expected . She did this great jazzy rendition in the beginning of "I Kissed A Girl", and her singing as a whole was really good.
We got lucky since it was the school she went to, although she only went for a couple of months :P. |

I saw Katy once with my friend who loves her, she was pretty entertaining but she was really sick so her voice wasn't great. Although her voice generally isn't great any way.
I'm in work with a cup of coffee right now listening to The Shins. The Past And Pending is such a beautiful song, I need to listen to this band a lot more often. Makes me hate myself for falling asleep infront of the main stage at Leeds a few years ago when they played would love to see them. Anyhow, today isn't great and I'm absolutely starving. Left my wallet at home so I have no money or debit card to get any food, argh. Can't wait to get home, get some grub and chill. I'm really craving some halloumi but I know we have none in :/ |
