I went for a hair cut... the barbers was closed. It was just one of them bastard of a days. I have sleeping problems, I had to go to work after having no sleep. Horrible.

But oh well, onwards and upwards. I'm enjoying Doolittle with a nice can of coke. :D

Oh man I've done that plenty of times, going into work without sleep. Definitely NOT good. My sleeping pattern used to be up the wall but I've knocked it back into shape now.

And that's good, Doolittle makes everything okay. It's not been too bad, I woke up late for work this morning though and had to pay for a taxi which I begrudged doing, I hate it. I'm in work at the minute but it's pretty chilled and I'm just listening to some Les Savy Fav at my desk, not too shabby. What time do you finish work today? Hope things look up for you man.

How'd you manage it? It's been like this for the best part of 4 years now, ridiculous. I wish it would get itself sorted. :(

I finished at half 1, I'm in my shorts and baggy t at the moment, so life's on the up.

I've been to some expensive places in Ireland but never have I paid 6 euro's for a pint. In Northern Ireland, i was pushed to find one for less than £3 and in Dublin I was paying between 4 and 5 euro's. There was one place we went to that upped its prices after 11pm to over 6 euro's but thats the only place i went where i saw a pint for that much money.

Have you had a Wispa though? Aero's are great but man, are Wispa's better.

Well my main fault was coming home from work and having a kip, then sleeping and then not being tired until like 5/6am, by which time it was too late for me to go to bed due to work. So I literally just knocked doing that, but for a short while even when I'd stop doing that I'd get past the stage of being tired and then would just get really delirious and unable to sleep. Long story short, I was signed off work with 'depression' for 3 months earlier in the year and the anti-depressants I got contained something which helped me get my sleeping pattern back in order. So yeah.

I do indeed do the same job as you, it's for HBOS and it's bloody horrific. I hate it but the money's good even before commission and it's 15 minutes away from my house, so the convenience overpowers my dislike for it.

I wish I was home :( not finishing until 6 tonight.

I've been watching the news in the galley while eating for the past few days and it's just made me sad. I'm proud to be in the military, and I'm glad to play my part (however small) in defending the freedoms that our country offers, but in the past 3 days the big stories have been a bulldozer burned at the site of a new mosque that was going to be built, a drunk Mexican day laborer holding a switchblade fatally shot by a group of police officers in L.A. that, even according to the news didn't even try to subdue him (or maybe shoot him in the leg or hit him with a baton... police brutality would be a lot better than death), and a big church in Gainesville, FL that's planning a Quran burning. I'd love to head down there and throw some copies of the New Testament on top because they obviously have very little meaning even to most Christians these days, while from my experience Muslims tend to be much more devoted to their religion. All in all, this may have killed my desire to do more than my four years.

I know what you mean man, you look at things from a different perspective when you're in. You realize it isn't all about "accelerating your life", it's about swabbing floors, standing watch, and kissing ass. Not everyone was meant to be a lifer, and there's no shame in getting out after 4, no matter what kind of BS they try and feed you.

I know what he was talking about, I was just saying I know how different it is to look at global events once you're in the military vs. being a civilian. Take the Somali pirate ordeal that went down last year, to many people it wasn't that big of a deal. But for a lot of my friends, it meant they had to stay out to sea for almost a year straight. You just look at things like that from a more personal point of view when you're in the military, because if **** goes down and a conflict breaks out, you could be the one going and fighting the ****ing thing.

I hate to sound like a dick, but if that's the case...why join the forces?
