It's a good place to get your core classes out of the way without paying through the nose for it. Math 101 and English 101 are still the same shit regardless of whether you're going to a community college or university.

My recommendation is to see about getting a transfer degree at the community college, and then after you're through with that you should be allowed to transfer to most universities as a junior and work your way up to a BA from there. That's what I'm currently enrolled in, however recent developments have me more looking at just finishing this degree and moving onto the BA at a later date.

I will say this about community college though, it's definitely going to feel more like high school than it should. A lot of the mentality is still based in that mind set and you're going to see it in your classes. It's a little sad and pathetic but it is what it is and apparently after the first year of bullshit things start to get better when all the dead weight has been cut.

I don't like sitting on the beach much to be fair, I like the bars and the night life of holidays. Aw, I'm jealous. there's only a few places I want to go to - New York, Amsterdam, Italy, South of France. I can't see myself going to New York any time soon though. When you get back, you'll have to tell me all about it. My sister went New York for her 21st, the pictures she took just reminded me of Friends. The place looks amazing.

What did you feel was an anti-climax about Newcastle? I think it's a great city for shopping as the main street is good, they have a very good shopping centre and then further afield they have a decent selection of smaller shops and markets etc. I also think it's a fantastic night out if you know where it is you're going and what options you have. If you go to places that don't suit your tastes or the expensive places that rip you off then you might not have such a good time but thats the same anywhere.

I havent had a better night out anywhere in this country than Newcastle. I have had nights out that were just as good or not far off in Manchester and Edinburgh but nowhere else really.

Oh man I had a weekend.

Friday night. This girl I've been hanging out with recently has been going on and on the past few weeks about going to a strip club. Well, we all finally give in and head to one of the local joints. It was much nicer inside than I thought it would be and I was quietly enjoying the new experience. My friends decide it would be really funny to get me a private dance with a middle aged black stripper who has obviously had a couple kids. I try to be a good sport about it and head back with her. She gets done and looks at me weird and goes "Boy, you missed out". I ask why and she goes, "I would have gotten naked for you!" I can only assume this meant taking off her thong, because that is all she was wearing. I tell her that's ok and start to walk away only to have her stop me and go, "Ohhhweee I am HORNY. I haven't had any in over a year and I'm ready to GO"...I know what she is implying but I don't want it to be true. Sure enough she asks me if I want to get out of there. I laugh nervously and walk back over to my friends, her trailing behind me. She would not LEAVE. Eventually she got up when she was called up to the stage, I told my friends my current situation, and then we freakin booked it. My first and only experience at a strip club and this happens? Wow. Just wow.

Saturday. I went to go see Bassnectar in Chicago which is awesome because Bassnectar is the **** and I haven't been to Chicago in ages. The show couldn't have been better...his main computer crashed after a couple songs so he had to bust out his backup which only had new material on it. He played until 4:30 in the morning and closed with Windowlicker. Oh yes.

So...pretty epic, I'd say.

Yeah, Indiana strip clubs can be pretty shady. I've had some pretty shifty experiences in the Lafayette and/or Frankfort areas. Only one I ever went to in Indy was a real classy joint on the north side, like a $40 cover charge. But it was class. Strip clubs are fun, just know the area and don't slum it when choosing a club. Sorry your first trip was so awkward.

I don't care at all...I walked away with a story. Any story that doesn't result in personal injury or jail time is a good one in my book.

Glad to hear Bassnectar was good btw, I've never been to an Electronica show as I'm still fairly new to the genre. But I suppose that would be one of the best. How does that work btw, is there an opening act or something? or dude jsut comes out and starts spinning for a few hours?

The problem with going to electronica shows is some of the less talented dj's will just go up there and do exactly that...dj. They play their own songs straight and maybe throw in a few songs from other electronic artists. Kind of dull. The good ones will remix, tease, and pretty much jam as much as they can with electronic equipment while reading the audience's reaction and adjusting accordingly. The result is pretty epic, so I highly recommend checking out a couple shows. Even if you aren't a huge fan of a particular dj, you will still probably have a good time. Since the music is (usually) made for dancing everyone gets really into it. There are usually opening dj's as well...Bassnectar had one but I can't remember what he called himself.

So, yes...everyone should experience a show like that. It's so much fun.
