I just got back from Nevada a while ago (I was there for four days), and I'm not in that great of a mood. It was supposed to be a family vacation, and instead it turned into a huge bitch-fest where I played mediator.
Oh well. It could've been worse.

Every time I go to Vegas there seems to be a big falling out with someone in the group. Everyone just gets so touchy, maybe it's the heat. Who knows.

Oh, goody. I'm going back with the same people for Christmas.
Coincidentally, we were in Reno.

Work over for the day... makes me feel much happier, though I am immensely tired and wondering why my throat is so scratchy... too much indoor air conditioning? Allergies? Either that or I am getting sick.... ugh, hope not...

Well I work two jobs, one as a Aide for the special education department of the local high school, the other in the deli of a grocery store.... right now I'm off the school job, and only doing the deli job... which incidentally, I like a whole lot less...

I LOVE my school aide job... I was a full classroom teacher when I was living back in Australia, and ultimately I would love to get back to that, but being aide has some awesome perks, like the less formal relationships i can form with kids, not having to plan or program curriculum, no report writing, etc... I really, really enjoy it, and I personally think it has been a hugely enriching job as far as developing my people skills, my understanding of different physical and psychological conditions, and my general skills in instructing and helping kids learn.
Needless to say, when my youngest daughter is old enough to go to school and we can afford for my wife to work (without any day care needed) I know which job i WON'T be quitting...hehehe...
