The apartment people FINALLY called today and I went over and signed the lease, paid uncomfortable amounts of money, and got half my moving done.
The worst part is the AC in the unit isn't working right, and it's hot as balls out. Now I'll have to wrestle with getting a maintenance guy out there to fix it.
Seems like that should have been done prior to me moving in... they took over a week to get the apartment ready... it's not like they didn't have time.

There is a wood roach somewhere behind me in the house, that is so big I can hear it's damned wings flapping around. I's scared.

What is a wood roach? That sounds terrifying

Last night one of my flatmates and I decided to drown our sorrows with grog, so I made myself a few drinks, we had a chat and then I went to bed. I woke up at 6am for work feeling like complete and utter shit... completely hungover. Did I really drink that much?! I must've... because the bottle of wine I bought is completely empty and I feel like a walking corpse. Ugh. Hate hangovers, must stop drinking.

This is the first weekend in about two months that I'm not traveling or busy as hell. I'm actually pretty excited about this.

Relaxing... been a busy few months... might finally get back here as often as I like to...

Today is the beginning of some severe self punishment as I'm giving up smoking, cutting right back on drinking AND trying to cut out/down on caffiene. All at once. Starting whilst I'm stupidly hungover. The alcohol thing doesn't worry me too much, I gave up for 4 months and it never bothered me. The smoking and caffene's gonna hit hard hard though. Though I may as well start today seeing as the thought of having a cigarette is making me want to vomit right now anyway...

So far, no cigarettes since midnight last night. Granted, I've spent 14 of those hours asleep, but still... High hopes and all that...

Actually i would have thought that stopping the caffeine and the alcohol would help? Nothing makes me want a cigarette more than a coffee or a pint!

Not drinking will definately help with the smoking. My worst moment though will be in the mornings. A cup of tea with a cigarette is what I class as breakfast and I really, really can't give up tea so I've gone for de-caff. Unfortunately it's the habit of the two going together more than anything. But yeah, it did make sense to me to give it all up at once rather than trying to do it one thing at a time because they do all go hand in hand and my will power is not great to say the least.

EDIT: Though, thinking about it, giving up smoking AND caffiene does have it's downsides. Without either of those vices I am not a nice person to be around at all :D
