I am on day FIVE of quitting! It's pretty ****ing wretched at this point. I've not talked to my "significant other" in days for fear that I will stab him.

I dont know why but i thought this was funny. I know you are probably working on the PC but i like how it looks as though you did anything but work, like play bass, and im fairly sure i see a funny face or two being pulled...

I've decided to stop shaving, I'll give it a trial period of 4-5 weeks and see how it turns out. Looking forward to posting results...

You're pretty much going to look like an unshaven you...
If you want to see what this will look like (aside from an exact copy of you with hair on your face), you can do it in photoshop... so you don't waste your time and disappoint your parents while doing it.

Not shaving is purely a practical thing... You don't want to have to perform the same ritual every morning before work/school/life. Thus... "**** you guys, I has a beard. It looks ridiculous, but I'm being a more efficient human than you are!".

Whether it's optically preferable is irrelevant. If you're not an idiot, you'll have a beard because it's just easier than not having one. And if you're an idiot with a degree in futility, you'll argue about the definition of "easy".

Grow a beard because it's logical.
Shave it when it's logical as well.

If you want to have a decent looking beard it's more work than just not shaving though. You got to keep that puppy trimmed. Plus depending what kind of beard you have you're probably still going to be shaving to some extent. I still have to shave my neck and upper cheeks for example.

I don't know how fast your facial hair grows, but you may want to give it more time than that. It takes me more like 6 weeks to grow a full beard.

I'm quitting my job today. Its going to be my first time telling a place to go F themselves, so its a little nerve wracking.
