As far as he's concerned you put it to your mouth & shout 'TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT' through it

...says the soon-to-be-deafened uncle.

An innocent TOOOOOOT one day soon becomes this in the hands of an exploratory young one:

I've been listening to Motorhead since I was 4 years old, you really think that hasn't already done the damage.

VEGANGELICA 06-24-2010 02:24 PM

Maybe you listened to Motorhead really really softly, so it was like a lullaby, and your ears remained pristine:

"La la la
Listen up here, I'll make it quite clear
I'm gonna put some boogie in your ear
La La!"

Not at all like a VUVUZELA's bleating...which, according to the announcer, sounds like a "duck on speed" if you have a mini one. Do you have a mini one?

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-24-2010 02:31 PM

Mini?

Pfft only the real thing for me

So you're saying you've got a big, big, l o n g horn.

Maybe like this one:

I workeed with two polish guys a guy from czech and a brummie. I find all of their accents absolutely irresistible. I love my sisters work.

edit: they are all actually quite hot.

I had a day off work today so i slept in until 12. Got up and did a few bits and pieces around the house. Ventured into town after a while and met up with a few chums, we sat in the park smoking cigarettes and enjoying the sun. Got a few CDs as well and a few other bits and bobs. I haven't really done much this evening besides listen to music, mess around with Java code and browse the webbernetz.

I'm off work tomorrow as well so i plan to stay up late.

I signed up for a grass volleyball league and today was our first game! I had a lot of fun. I haven't played volleyball since high school or junior high, and it was just in P.E. class, I was never on a team or anything. And when I say since high school, that means the last year I had required P.E. was 92. I'm glad that the acquaintance that organized the team was in need of a few people and gave the nudge. I usually shy away from anything like this due to low confidence and all that, but I'm REALLY glad I took her up on it. It's physical activity, it's fun, it's practically on my way home, and I'll get to meet new people. Win all around. It being a softcore league (beginners or those that haven't played in years, basically), there isn't much pressure. At least the team we played today was really casual.

Yay for summer fun and trying different things!

Aside from that today at work sucked because I was hung over and went to bed really late. But it was the result of a fun date so it's all good in the hood.

I wish it was summer year round. This is shaping up to be a much more active summer than last year, unfortunately that means it's going to go by really fast.

A brummie! I had to look that up...someone from Birmingham. How does it happen that your sister's workplace has so many people from other countries...and a brummie, too?

That actually sounds like a lot of fun, sidewinder...as long as you don't get a jammed finger from a volleyball. It is enjoyable to try something you wouldn't normally do, and find out you actually like it. It's nice to remember all the possibilities out there.

Today I didn't do anything new. :( However, I'm sleeping on an inflatable mattress (not at this instant though). That's at least unusual for me. I'm stealthily using a computer next to the mattress while my child sleeps, as we are houseguests. He is making cute shnuffly noises. And he just did a little sigh. I love hearing him make that sound...almost as nice as when I hear him giggle in his sleep, which is my favorite.
