I got drunk today! At a festival! There were naked cyclists, I saw boobs and dicks, some painted some not. I drank a beer here, a mix drink there, had a hot dog, more beer, a gyro, more beer and mix drinks, a slice of pizza, more beer, talked to my buddy on the phone for like 3 hours, more cigarettes than a non-smoker should be smoking, and well that's about it. It was a good day but aside from talking to my friend on the phone and briefly meeting a few people, I was all by myself.
The key is to keep moving. If you keep moving and look like you're heading somewhere, no one realizes you're really alone. It was the solstice festival and it was goddamned overcast all day! But. Booze made it ok.

Last night was the second annual alchohol olympics. 7 Teams of 3, 4 games, round robin tourney. Me and my two buddies won for the second year in a row. My buddy thats on my team is 6'8", 320 lbs. He's a fuckin mean anchor. But yea, we had over 350 beer there, and for the second year in a row, every single person that competed blacked out !

We tried this kinda nice Argentinian wine called Baguala that was citrus-y and for a white didn't taste like absolute piss.

Actual was probably around 97 F or so. But we're right up on the gulf, and the humidity is ridiculous. I can honestly tell you that spending a year in Kuwait where I actually experienced the temperature top out at 143 F (according to our meters), and another year in Iraq at around 135 F or so, that shit is far more tolerable because of the absence of humidity. |
