Got my results back from the State and I passed all my MTEL's so I'm phase 1 ready to be a teacher in the state of MA. Which is really good news. Also, tomorrow I find out if I got the job I've applied for at a private school (no MTEL's required) and I think I have a really good chance so we'll see.

Moved back up to the cold rocks we collectively call Svalbard. It's not as damp and cold as I thought it might be here. A nice, warm sun is shining on the nearest glacier and I expect flowers will start popping up soon. I got myself set up in an office in the biology department. I'm supposed to start working on statistics, but of course hanging on MB instead .. :p:

I should take a break from the forums the next few months, really. I'll get on that tomorrow.

Well I'll eventually move to be a high school teacher in english. Primarily Juniors and Seniors. In MA thats American and British Lit respectivly. I'm far, far more interested in American Literature (because of author alone) but you can't just do one year.

In other news. I got off the phone with the school I applied to work at (elementry school; admin side) and they offered me the job. I start August 1st and I'mexcited as **** to leave this piss-ant, dead-end career behind and start on a track I'm interested in.
