I'd probably sell my soul to have citizenship in Australia or NZ. No joke.

edit: I have my heart set on immigrating when I'm older. The country is too hard to get into :'(

^^ My sister is a civil servant and she knows someone she works with whos is moving to Australia. Apparantly its currently really easy to get a work VISA if you're a civil servant. I must admit, i dont really know why.

Whats a civil servant though? A few people from my work (lifeguards) have immigrated, as its apparantly something Australia doesn't have much of.

My sister works in the tax office, so im assuming this person does also unless they are from another department. I dont see how this would help you get a work VISA in Australia at all.

Yeah, I can't see how lifeguarding would help either. But I suppose it's something they're after :)

I just returned home for the first time since Friday morning. I left that day to visit the doctor, thinking I'd return home an hour or two later. My doctor, however, insisted I go to the ER quickly.
Turns out I have multiple blood clots in both my lungs and my left arm. I'm only 23 years old. I was admitted to the hospital for three nights. For the next two weeks I need to inoculate myself in the stomach once a day, followed by taking pills for a currently undisclosed amount of days.

:(

My doctor unfortunately did not know the cause of the formation of the clots.

I have 3 citizenships... Australia, New Zealand, and the EU. I feel like a spy!

Are you kidding, we have loads of lifeguards! Beaches, swimming, etc is a huge part of our culture. Every second one of my friends has lifeguarded. I don't think it's that difficult to get a VISA here but it is very hard to get citizenship. A lot of people who want citizenship into Australia try to get a New Zealand citizenship first, and then live and work in Australia. (New Zealand citizens have all the same privileges as Australians in Australia and vice versa.)

Oh and feel better Meph :(

FETCHER. 04-27-2010 08:17 AM

Maybe it's because lifeguards are so in demand then :D, I'll probably never follow my dreams of moving over. :( I've been told NZ is even harder to get into than Australia, because they can't afford to take in as much people, as it's much smaller, but meh, it's probably ****. :O
