For Paddys day today I did...absolutely nothing. Damn lack of Guinness money.

It still ended up being a good day though regardless.

Hmmmm, there really aren't alot of St. Patricks Day celebrations going on in my household, either... just a few beers and some happy music listening time, winding down, posting, etc..... you know the drill...

I don't think I have an article of green clothing... my wardrobe is almost wholly composed of jeans, tan cargos and grey, black or dark blue sweaters and shirts...

As far as my dress sense goes, i am nothing but predictable!

I don't think we tend to bother with the green theme in England when celebrating Paddys day. I've certainly never noticed anyway. For us its just an excuse to get drunk, as if we need one. The only reason i usually look forward to it is because it tends to be a good day/night out.

I don't know anyone who celebrates St. Patrick's day.

In the past few weeks I found out:
An old friend Stu who joined the army is in a wheelchair. he has feeling back in his legs, but I dunno wither he can walk or not... :(
My best friend from schools mum took a heart attack 3 weeks ago, died 2 nights ago, distraughtness :(:( i loved her mum.

brighter stuff is that i had a driving lesson today, it went awesome, and im going to the pics later to see alice in wonderland :D yay!

Well we don't necessarily "celebrate" Paddy's day, but it's always an excuse for a good Guinness sesh. It's usually been a pretty fun day in my experience, especially when you buy so many pints to collect the tokens to get a big hat :D

That sucks about your friends mother and your friend in the army though. I have friends in the forces too, as i'm sure most of us do and it is of course always a worry.

I, of course, use the holiday as an excuse to wake up early and drink. Started drinking at noon; hit the bars around 2; stumbled home after midnight wearing glasses and walking with a single crutch.... No clue how or why...

To be completely honest i just find the whole concept of Paddy's day cheesy as f**k. The only half-decent paddy's day parade in the country is the Dublin one, it has some artistic value, and the rest are just hilariously bad.

Yeah we just tend to use it as another good reason to get completely rat-arsed (along with RAG week). I didn't start drinking until about 5-ish yesterday and even by that time there were people completely out of it. I timed my drinking nicely so that i wouldn't be completely wasted by the time the clubs open. A lot of people didn't make it that far lol. It was a pretty sh!tty night though, you couldn't walk down the street without somebody completely off their tits starting sh!t on you. To be honest i would have rather stayed in with a few friends and have a few drinks and a bit of a sing-along.

Look on the bright side
At least you have a whole day when you can laugh at people suddenly deciding that they have Irish heritage.

Someone wished me a happy St Patricks Day yesterday. I mean you might as well wish me a happy Benin day or something. i have just as much heritage from there as I do in Ireland... i.e. none.
