i also discovered some great new music today, and managed to find an album i've been after for a few months. nice.

after work i will head home and relax for a bit, then go into the city to meet my wife. after dinner we'll go see Alice in Wonderland which premieres tonight.

not a bad day at all
Only just seen this. A belated happy birthday to you sir

Just got a pair of pretty cool headphones on the cheap from Argos. No more noise complaints from the lower floor for me

Finished an oral exam .. No, not to the dentist. I had to explain about plate tectonics and the fundamental changes to the world's biota during the pleistocene. Well, I think it went okay but sometimes it's hard to tell. Now I've got a presentation and a paper to write before the weekend is over .. Education, every now and then, can be so much work.

It might not be the grade that everyone else received, but it's most likely a grade far above the ones everyone else actually deserved.
Keep your head up high and strive for more A's.

Today's going to be a good day.
I don't know why, but I can just feel it.
Getting wasted tonight. I have a Jersey Shore party that I have to go to.
I don't even watch Jersey Shore. And I have to dress like some little bitch. I don't even know. I'm prolly going to dress like myself and put an annoying guido bump, that should suffice.

You're welcome. [= I know how that feels, and the only way to be is positive.

I REALLY don't feel like working today. Get me out of here! I might even have to work this weekend (for extra money though, so I guess it's alright).

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Just got a letter in the mail from Loyola University Chicago telling me that they're awarding me a full-ride financial aid package, four years taken care of. What a joke.

Heh. I remember getting about sixty of those letters offering me some sort of compensation to attend some shitty private school in the middle of nowhere. Never a full ride though, any chance it could work out for you?

LUC is pretty well-known and highly-regarded among pseudo-intellectuals and backwater hicks here in Chicago, but I would never in a million years attend that sub-standard Catholic boarding school. I just find it hilarious that after all the rejections I've sent them they still can't take a hint. Let someone who actually wants to go there get the money they need, because I certainly won't ever accept it.
