Haha, that's a good one! So many words off limits now, and I think box is one of them.

Football commentators are some of the worst these days... Paraphrased from Sunday Night Football earlier this year: "They keep wanting to pull out, but the penetration is forcing them deeper than they want to go."

Honestly, how do you say something like that and not think of it in the way that we all are?

On the way back to work from my lunch break i encountered a group of, being politically correct, 'members of the Travelling community', or 'pikeys' as the english love to call them (americans will have no idea what the hell i'm on about). Being offended by my slightly alternative image they proceeded to shout abuse at me, the friendly welcoming people that they are. These weren't teenagers by the way, they looked to be in their 30's and a bit intoxicated. And with me being slightly smaller and a bit out-numbered all i could do was stare at the ground, keep walking and not make eye-contact.

Otherwise my day was fine

I am new. I get off at lunch today, then I'm driving to Eugene Oregon with my girlfriend.

Sat am we will get up and drive over the hill to Bend and snowbaord at Mt Bachelor. Well, I will. She will go tubing with her friend.

Four thoughts:

A) Welcome

2) Hello "neighbor". I'm also in NorCal, and I'll be taking a trip up your way this Spring. I want to hit the Lost Coast Brewery, and I want to camp somewhere near the ocean in Humboldt area. Any recommendations, maybe?

3. That sounds like a good time. I haven't hit the slopes yet this year, but I hear the snow is good.

d- You mentioned Oregon, and I spent part of my day playing Oregon Trail on a Macintosh emulator. I then found a few games that I had tried to find for years, but couldn't remember the name of- and had a terrible description to try to find them with. First being "Odell Lake" (which I explained as 'hey, remember that game where you were a fish, and sh!t?'), and "Number Munchers" (which was described by me as 'hey, remember when you're the green dude who eats numbers?'). Great day.

Why would you assume we'd have no idea what you're talking about? They're not exactly a secret outside of the British Isles and in fact they do exist over here in small numbers.

So I made it through my MB-free 24 hours.... so booya!! Though having nothing to do I ended up doing this weird self-portrait wallpaper for my desktop:

Then I got hammered, and got a lot of things out of my mind. It always feel good to get all your embarrassments on the open, when you're drunk enough to not care. Now I feel my head's going to explode...

^ Hehe, thats really good. I can't stop looking at it.

Congrats on your MB-free day. I know you were suffering there towards the end! Getting things off your chest and a weight off your shoulders is a good thing also, i really should practice that more as over the years i've become more and more someone who just bottles everything up instead.
