40 hours a week is damn good, even if it's at a deli counter, that was the country's average before the economy went to shit and is what many people would beg for. If I could go back to 40 hour work weeks I'd be ecstatic, however I am doing well enough with my average 25-30 that I'm doing now.

Anyhow I'm not here to spew a tangent on being thankful for what you have, I'm here to talk about my day dammit!

I woke up and finished reading my book Crooked Little Vein then went out to get a haircut. Came back home and started to read Coraline and about an hour 1/2 later I had to stop because I had finished it and loved every page of it. From there I took my notebook and went out to a bar on campus and had a drink and started writing my own supplementary book for the discontinued Vampire: The Masquerade RPG series called "Vancouver By Night". It's my take on Vancouver in the World of Darkness setting, but including rules and previous "Vampiric History" in the city should someone want to use it as a setting. From there I went to Walgrens to pick up some shampoo, deoderant, and razor blades then came home to continue my writing. Unhappy with my first draft I started a second one only to find the activity of the house to be quite distracting so I went out to a coffee shop to write. As soon as I walked in I had to crack a smile because Dummy by Portishead was playing and when I asked if it was just a mix or if it was the album in its entirety I was told the latter. Did some writing there till closing, fought my urge to pick up a pack of smokes, and came home. Created a trip-hop/ post-metal playlist and am procrastinating the 2nd chapter of my writing by posting on MB.

All in all a pretty productive Sunday, although I've failed yet again to start constructing my mini gallows for my computer desk :(

I've never really been in a position to do a proper game with me as storyteller instead of a player character. I tried to run a Vampire game when I was 17 but the guys I was playing with were complete idiots who got killed during the 2nd gaming session. One thought it'd be a great idea to take on a werewolf all by himself without any silver and then botched on his first roll, he was decapitated, eviscerated, and mutilated, in that order. The player got mad at me and threw a hissy fit then left. The other guy didn't last too long after, in a raid on a Sabbat den he tried to take on a Tzimisce elder with his weak ass character and was promptly staked and beheaded. To add insult to injury I decided to have the Tzimisce elder use his fleshcrafting ability from the remnants of the corpse to make little monsters. I explained to them both before we started playing that I'll bend some rules here and there but if you go off and do something stupid I'll make it ten times harder. Neither of them heeded my warning and were thus offed pretty quickly and wanted out of the gaming experience.

Lame. I've never played that but lately I've been thinking about creating a D&D character along with a few friends.. I wouldn't be dungeon mastering though cause I've never played before. I hope you find some competent game mates, RPG-ing seems like it could be quite fun when done right.. if a little nerdy.

Is that your favorite rpg then?

Pardon me for breaking in here...but I've found from personal experience that it doesn't have so much to do with being "done right" as with everyone being enthusiastic about the game. That's just me though. And, I've only played a handful of times.

That's kind of what I meant about being done right. I think if everyone is having fun, actually trying to be nice, and sticking to the rules (if only roughly) then it's being done right.

What do you do if you dont mind me asking?

I'm sort of a jack of all trades guy for a Tax Consulting company. Some weeks I'm creating spreadsheet after spreadsheet of data entry for various things, mostly for advertising campaigns we do via a website called sendoutcards.com. Some weeks I'm editing audio or video clips, cutting them down or making their quality better, then have them turned into products we sell (either digitally or sometimes physical copies). I'm technically always "on call" for your basic tech support calls, however most of the calls I get are people trying to get a hold of my boss so it's more of a secretarial job than anything else. The same thing applies to e-mails. I occasionally have to courier things to various government buildings, mostly the Secretary of State's office in Carson City (state capital). Oh and I also do a lot of mail forwarding, collecting mail from two drop off boxes at a local UPS store, then forwarding them to their rightful owners. It's all work from home or whatever cafe I find myself in at the time so I can't complain too much, however it does get a bit monotonous after awhile and I had no real training so when I do get a customer service call I'm usually pretty useless.
