Shoulda told him to be a man, drop out of school, and start working. Contribute something to the family more than just a funny mustache.

Today I had to ring the University of Auckland to confirm my enrollment, and the New Zealand consulate to make sure I was doing my whole moving procedure the right way. I spoke to a man named Murray, and was highly amused. You won't get why unless you watch Flight of the Conchords.

I've been sick for the past couple of days with a cold and a throat which feels like sandpaper. Annoying since I was hoping to make decent progress on my project at work this week but I can't do too much in this state.

So I've stayed at home watching movies and ATHF haha.

Whoa I had no idea you're going to UoA this year. Let me know if you need help enrolling in papers on nDeva since it's such a convoluted hunk of crap... in fact, I was sorting our my brother's papers with him just before.

Yep... with family in NZ to stay with I took the opportunity to go and complete my studies over there as it's a few thousand dollars cheaper and exactly the same qualification and everything...

And I am so glad you said this because I have been so confused and lost the past couple of weeks! But I'm starting to realise that it's actually pretty similar to the process of my previous uni, which is also extremely convoluted and took place entirely online. Actually, thankfully nDeva provided me with "TO DO" items on my homepage which alerted me to the fact that I had missed a few steps in my application process... all good now though, phew!

So, since you're familiar with nDeva, you're not at UoA are you?!

Hope you're feeling better soon also

Good to hear. nDeva's ok once you get used to it but can be pretty intimidating at first... I sometimes think it's an attempt on the uni's part to cull the weak spirited.

And yeah this is my last year at UoA unless I decide to do postgrad. Can't say I know anyone else who's studying teaching here but I have a friend studying to be a primary school teacher at Waikato.

I'm staying in a hotel in this incredibly Twilight Zone-ishly generic Washington DC suburb. Yesterday, I wanted to get some bourbon so I took a right out of the hotel parking lot and drove straight for a couple miles until I came across a liquor store. This morning I felt like going for a drive so I took a left out of the hotel parking lot and drove for about five minutes before being shocked to come across the same liquor store from yesterday. Turns out the road my hotel is on is a giant loop, presumably designed this way to make people from out of town feel like they are insane.
