A very cool day, a bit exhausting, but it was for a good cause.
So there's this teacher we have, that is one of the greatest people I know, so we were finally able to go visit him on this Christmas holiday. But I kinda did the impossible to make the thing work, specially that we all realised we have a project to give the next day. I drove for 3 hours to get all the available ones to come along. Well at the end we were only 5, still better than nothing. We had some great discussions over beer and ciggies... and got home at 12:20. I have to do this project for tomorrow now, hope I don't fall asleep.

To "hold out on" someone is basically to deprive them of something you have (often by concealing it) that you may be expected to offer them. Example of usage: "I barely caught a buzz on Joe's weed tonight, but somehow he got really blazed. I think he's holding out on us."
edit: a similar word is "hoard".
