Christmas Day: I woke up with a massive lack of sleep. I've been working early days all week and getting to bed late, coupled with a night or two of drinking that i'd 'recovered from' but not had much sleep since.
Went downstairs feeling like hell with my family, my (technically step)dad made some horrible santa jokes that I just wasn't in the mood for, we opened presents, my dad showed up and gave me some stuff too and we organised his christmas present. Sent merry christmas texts, replied to merry christmas texts, etc. Then we got showered and dressed, went around to the grandparents house where we chilled out and opened more presents. Total presents list: Salaryman Kintaro Box Set, Chocolate, Sweets, some shaving stuff, a top gear DVD, A QI book of quotations, lots of money (The main thing I asked for), and a LAP HARP. (Handmade in Romania no less!) After that I hung around a little longer, got picked up and went back home, showered again, slept. Today - Woke up, WORKED UNTIL 5pm in a busy call center with ****ty customers. Only an hour and a half left before I get to go home and do nothing.

Christmas Day:
Stayed awake from previous day... 10.00 am - Breakfast with the whole family (first time we're all awake at the same time.. my brother stayed awake too) 11.30 am - Parents returned from mass, and mum made a huge tantrum seeing my brother wearing some t-shirt that wasn't "Christmas" relevant in some way. 12.30 pm - It took us 1 hour to get my brother to change his shirt, and to mum to just relax a little 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm A visit to the relatives, grandma, grandpa (they're divorced, so 2 visits here) and the whole family of my grandpa (sisters, mother, aunt etc ... just weirdly living in the same house) and there was this huge debate about if we know a person is muslim we should directly assume that he's a double faced liar, that doesn't fast in Ramadan. Anyway, it was weird and a huge dose of stupidity added to my life. 6.00 pm - Decided to go watch Avatar with my brother, my cousin and some friends. Tried to get a reservation, but the line of the theatre was busy all day. I decided to go very early and get our tickets. 8.15 pm - I arrived to the mall where the only good theatre is. The movie starts at 10.15 pm. I wasn't able to find a parking spot until it was 9.20 pm (I hate this Christmas overpopulation). So went to get the tickets, and there was not a seat left. 9.40 pm - The others that were also on the road, wrestling with traffic arrived. As we were all there, decided to get to the music store until we find out what the hell we are doing. 10.00 pm - I donno why the store closed this early, but I had already 6 CDs in my hand. So it was a good visit I guess, and we had already decided what to do afterwards. It was Texas HOLD'EM while drinking some beer. 11.30 pm - At my friend's and we're playing the thing, and getting drunk of course, well, me only getting drunk. That made things a bit more fun. As I usually only find poker interesting if I'm losing, and I was chip leader when sober. 4.00 am - Drunk and happy... 4.30 am - Got home, and slept so deeply. Woke up at 7pm the next day, that was fun. I'm pretty excited about tomorrow. I'm going to get drunk on boiling wine in a cave, I think I'll bring my cam.

Hehe Christmas day was pretty uneventful for me but I believe it transpired like this:
Woke up on my uncles couch spooning with my three year old cousin's stuffed tiger and a small pyramid of Molson Canadian cans by my feet. I then stumbled around and nearly stepped on a few presents (I was sleeping in the living room with the Christmas tree) and plopped on the couch and cracked another beer to fight the oncoming hangover. We then passed out our presents and I mostly got money and chocolate, but my nanna in Wales did send me a t-shirt from Wetherspoons and that was nice of her. My two cousins were very excited for Christmas and could not contain their screaming which really went on well with my hangover, but I manned up and let them have their fun. My grandma on my stepmom's side made us breakfast and that was nice. Read a book I received for a little bit then my uncle took me to my dad's place (he's on vacation) and I had a shower and fed the cat. I then meandered over to my friend's apartment who I'm staying with and sat in the sunny pot room and listened to some music and did some writing on my laptop. My friend came back and we smoked a joint, but he had to leave to go have a family dinner with his girlfriends family nearby. I went on his roommate's super nice gaming PC and plowed my way through Wolfenstein and decided that it is probably one of the prettiest FPS's I've seen in a very long time. My friend came back, we smoked again and pretty much talked about Vampire: The Masquerade and Werewolf: The Apocalypse before I drifted off to sleep. All in all a very good Christmas day. |

Well, today, so far.... mostly spent house cleaning and child facilitating... kinda snowy out, so they don't even want to go outside, so they%e all indoors, kinda squabbling, you know how kids can be when they are all yogether in the one apartment for so long...
Ahh well, the outlook is good for some serious slacking tonight after they all go to bed... some music listening and / or movie watching is on the cards....

Last night was one of those nights that was disastrous, yet hilarious when you think back.
I get another xmas dinner every boxing day because I have a HUUUGE family, so I went to my aunt's house who stays on the next street for my dinner, had dinner. Dinner was awesome. Me and my cousin (He's 18 too, we're best friends btw) invited some of his friends up, so Boab, Thomson, Jordan and Jamie arrived, and Thomson had recieved a tattoo kit for his Xmas off the girlfriend... Boab ended up with "Your Name" tattoo'd on his right ass cheek, basically ruined the boys perfect ass. That isn't the worst of it, no stencils involved.. Thomson freehanded it on, thing looks a state. Thomson must have the worst handwriting I've ever seen. Then to add to this ridiculous streak we were in my cousins bedroom and our parents kept coming in and such, so every five mins Boab had to stop getting tattoo'd. Thomson never had the right aftercare stuff, so a poly bag and some selotape were used to cover his tattoo up. Oh and it was Boabs first tattoo. Then Jamie drank all the ****ing alcohol in the house and ended up rat arsed, and caused a big scene for attention saying "nobody cares about me" blablabla, (he lies alot, he told us once that a UFO landed in the woods behind his house and him his dad and dog went to investigate and aliens were there... and then he said the government was going to wipe their identity and give them a new one in a diff country if word got out, so yeah.. he lies alot.) and he lied that he got thrown out the house, when he walked out (friend was there when the arguement took place). Then he was stoating around the house infront of our parents absolutely out the game, so we tried to send him home and a taxi came.. but he refused to leave then went to walk 6miles to his house in -6.5 weather conditions at like 1am. So we brought him back in and put him in my cousins bed which was all well and fine, but about 3am my brother in law wanted to go home and my sister was sitting with this Jamie, and Darren went scatty and told Jamie he looked like a smackhead blablabla, the only comeback Jamie could come up with was "Ano". Then we put Jamie into Williams bed again, and he whiteyed (Sick) all over it, the boy slept with his face in the sick, so we woke him up and tried to get him to take his sick drenched jumper off, and he refused, and then he went back to sleep.. IN THE SICK!!! I boaked about a million times, and all my cousins bedding had to go to the bin, so I slept on the couch with Boab, and William had to sleep on the living room floor. Honestly, anywhere Jamie goes, Carnage follows. Boys a ****ing fool. This weekends lesson that I've learned, don't get an amateur tattoo on my arse, and don't ****ing whitey all over someones bed then sleep in your own whitey.

Ahhhh, yes, the wonders of dealing with drunkards with little or no self control, I recall it well... recall having to be kept under control myself a few times, actually... but never throwing up and sleeping in it, fortunately...
Kinda pulled back on the heavy drinking in recent years, mainly because I don't recover for about a week and I'm on meds that really don't mix well, plus the booze just negates the meds and puts me back where i don't wanna be, which really sucks... so light drinking it is for me! one or two glasses of wine or spirits and not mucgh more than four beers.... enough to get loose and merry and wind up ok the next day. T'is good.
