Last night, myself and some friends got taken to a bar we had never been before (following the leader, i suppose) and turns out it's a salsa dancing bar. Thats a first for me!
This place is very well hidden, so much so its located on a street im on a hell of a lot and i've never noticed it before and is much more a place to dance than drink, so its more of an arts centre than a bar. This may have something to do with why i kind of just assumed that everyone there was much, much older than us but wasnt really paying attention. I was just sitting, talking, drinking, watching two mates of mine dance with each other drunk, bringing down the tone of the place, and trying to work out which one was meant to be the man and which one was the woman and all of a sudden I realised that the place is FULL with stunning women. I mean, to the fucking brim. It has to be considered to be Newcastles biggest kept secret I feel. |

Woke up at 3 AM yesterday to check the depth of the ice on the pond, temperature was around 2F without wind chill. Depth was 5 inches, so I broke out the floodlights and shovels to clear the snow/air pocketed ice. Finished prep work at around 4:30, called up some buddies at 5 and we had ourselves a few intense games. By the time the sun rose I'd been out for about 4 hours in -20F weather, so I went home to shower and rest for a bit. Spent the rest of the day at a girlfriend's house, then when the sun went down we all went back to the pond and skated until 11PM.

Nah, but I grew up in Southern Maryland, and we have family in Alexandria, Occoquan and Sterling. Been through that area a million times. And my mom grew up in Fairfax.

I'm going on a boat! I'm not sure what kind of boat, but I'll be on it for about 3 hours. Hope the sun stays out. Please please please. It's been nothing but blue skies for the last 6-7 days, sun don't fail me now!!!
