Oops, I didn't see this until just now. I'm in Northern VA, but it's about 45 minutes from Alexandria. Centreville's in between Manassas and Fairfax. You're not from around here are you?

Makes sense. I'm glad I didn't have to deal with any unwanted indecision as well. I like maths so for me it was between engineering and actuarial sciences - I decided to with the prior. We'll see where the roads lead from here. So far so good though.

That's pretty broad. You have an idea how you're going to apply that? Have any particular fantasies? (Those are good... they help you align yourself)

Well my degree right now is a BSc in Chemical and Process Engineering.
We have to do it in 3 yrs where I live (normally it's four years like in Waterloo, Canada for e.g.) So most likely I'd work in an oil industry afterwards and there's a lot of job opportunities for that here. So while I'm working I'll get my Masters and then my PhD if everything goes swimmingly.

Today, I had the most fabulous grilled bacon-wrapped jalapeno steak bites.

That is all.

That's cool man. Aiming for a PhD is somethin' else. Good luck with that and I hope it works out fantastically.

It's good to have something in the cross-hairs, otherwise you're just shooting in the dark, know what I mean?
Always keep something in your cross-hairs, no matter what.
:)

Haha, of course man, hope everything works out for you as well dude. And what can I say, you gotta aim for the stars, otherwise you're just selling yourself short.

Don't aim for the stars when you're peeing though, just aim for the toilet.

Woke up today with the voice of an ogre. My throat doesn't hurt, so I tend to forget that new reality. All my day people have been talking to me, and me replying with my monstrous new voice and they just feel a bit awkward not knowing if I'm making fun of them or just maybe burping the alphabet.
*I have to clarify here, that I usually have the voice of an 8 year old boy (no exaggeration).

turned in homework for my last class, spent the rest of my day in sheer bliss (and a bit of boredom). re-installed MediaMonkey, i was getting pissed at iTunes. and from what i can see, all my AAC files work again, so i'm extremely pleased. i also just finished post #1 for my new blog, which i'm doing with an IRL friend. it looks promising.

i'm going home tomorrow for ~12 hours to catch a game and visit family, excited to get an opportunity to get away from campus for a day or so. in other words, i'm extremely happy, for a change.
