Today was/will be a ****ty day... had to get up at 6:15, it was dark and raining and cold. Drove to work, got here at 7 and I've already spent an hour on the phone listening to someone bitch about something or other. I feel like complete ****, and I have to leave to drive to Annapolis soon. That will just make me feel a hundred times worse, then I'll come home and be in a terrible mood the rest of the evening while my parents ask me what's wrong because they're stupid mother****ers. Fun stuff.
I'm ready for tomorrow... |

Today I started a Powerball Lotto pool at school. 10 folks, including my Operating Systems class instructor. The tickets are in a safe, and we all have copies of all the numbers.
At first, I was excited. I'd never played the Lotto before. Then as the day wore on, the gradual sinking realization of the astronomical odds took the kick out of it and the draw hasn't even happened yet. (2 hours to go) I take this as a sign that I'm either far too realistic to enjoy possibilities, or just far too cynical.
