My favorite season is hunting season because nothing pleases me more than making other living things suffer. Within legal boundaries, of course

Winter's arrived here. No doubt. There's snow on the mountain tops, it's cold, very wet, and incredibly windy. I still enjoy walking in it though. Cold, horizontal rain lashing your face can feel strangely invigorating.

As much as I love seeing the chicks sporting the skimpy summer clothes, I'm a sucker for winter. Love the holiday season.

If you go by the equinoxes and solstices, which is what I go by, and which is how seasons are normally defined, Bangladesh has four seasons just like every other place on the planet (well, maybe except for the poles--I'm not sure whether equinoxes and solstices really work for the poles). Anyway, typical weather is correlated to seasons, but it's relative to the specific location, and typical weather does not define the seasons.
For example, in the Caribbean (or South Florida and similar places), there's not much difference between typical temperatures, etc. for most of the year. That doesn't mean that there aren't four seasons and that they don't start and end on the same dates that they do in Minnesota, say. |
