Default Send me a postcard, darlin' [the MB trading post]

In this busy world of text messaging, e-mailing, and other e-communication, it would seem the world has lost a lot of its ability to communicate via the written word.

Anyone who would be willing to share their street address with trusted writers of the MB community (via PM) should post here - I'm sure it's been too long since any of us have received any letters, especially something handwritten by someone we're certain cares enough about us to spare a few minutes of their time to write us a cutesy note.

If that's what you're longing for, this is the place to say so.

Anyone participating in this thread who has explicitly mentioned that they'd love to receive (or send) a letter from any member of the board has therefore opened their PM box to anyone who should want their address, for the use of sending such a letter.

This is something only to be shared between friends, not for the use of harassment or other hostile behavior (unless that is your thing).

Pics of things you've received are encouraged but not mandatory. Also, the Holiday season is coming in just a couple months - all the more reason to break out the stationery.

PM me for an address if you like and I'll do my best to reciprocate.

I'm not much for letter writing but I like to trade music, art, fun little items, etc, through snail mail.

Sounds like a nice idea, but I have to seriously think about this.

My heart and inbox are open.

If anyone would love a handwritten anything-at-all from me, just send a PM with your street address. I don't mind at all.

Bump, but if anyone has a spare card going and wants to make a young lad happy:

Quote:
Nine-year-old Layton Robinson-Bancroft has a terminal illness.

He suffers from mitochondrial disease and has been told by doctors there is no cure.

So, this December, in a bid to make the Christmas period extra special, his family is urging strangers to send him a card.

Layton, from Wigan, who loves opening post, is hoping to get cards from all over the world.

And the family's request has already been shared thousands of times.

If you want to post Layton a card, send it to:

I'm sending him a card and some football programs I think.
