We have two dogs so of course we have two leashes. One is black and the other is blue. Cali gets the black and Mojo gets the blue. That's just the way it is. Linda would occasionally mix them up and it would freak me out and make me a bit stressed and angry. I wouldn't take the dogs for a walk unless they had the right colors.

Classic OCD.

Now I could give a **** what color leash each dog has.

Lots more little examples like this. Damn.

I hope this isn't the end of your cantankerous codger posting style.

Like every other person on the planet, I have some OCD-like tendencies, yes. Like most people on the planet, I probably don't fit the actual diagnostic criteria for OCD.

Personality disorder labels are such fun accessories to our identity, aren't they?

OCD: Rabbit
Manic: Tigger
Depressive: Eeyore
Addict: Pooh Bear
Phobic: Piglet

Everyone of us falls under one label or another. "Personality disorders" are just a fancy way of classifying different personality types.

Everyone can tick a number of boxes in any personality test. It's only a disorder if it prevents you living your life. Psychologically there are overlaps between a lot of symptoms. That's the problem with diagnosing by checklist. However as the meds are used on a trial basis anyway I guess it doesn't make much of a difference. If it works good, if not try something else. Often the specific diagnosis will depend on the doctor's specialty. They tend to get tunnel vision. Same advise goes for the doctor. If they aren't helping you see someone else.

I only OCD when I'm at work but that's because I have a system that works perfectly.

I'm usually a mess at home though.
