I tried this before, and it was moderately successful, but I restricted it to musical topics. Now, I'm resurrecting the idea but opening it out to absolutely everything.

For those who don't understand the reference to Room 101 here's the actual origin of the phrase https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minist...en_Eighty-Four and a video that explains the concept as it's used in the TV show, but basically invited guests vie on the show to have the thing that annoys them most put into Room 101, where theoretically it is gone forever.

Of course it isn't, but most often the most fun in the show are not the actual choices but the discussions they engender. Here, I plan to pit, if we get the interest, two members against each other, and have other members vote on whose item they hate the most, ie whose should go into Room 101. Any final decision re ties etc will be mine.

So, if you hate prog rock, buses, rude waiters, autotune, threads made by me, American Football, the usage of text speak, or whatever it is, let me know. I'll pit the first two to post against each other, and everyone can vote for whose item goes into Room 101.

So, who's up for it? Rather than just say something is crap, you're going to have to fight to convince your "audience" that they should vote for your item rather than the other guy's, so think about it before you post. Also, I should say, this is to be a thread where you can hurt feelings or cause offence without hopefully any retribution, certainly not from me, but obviously that's up to the mods to police and decide when/if someone has gone too far. But if, for instance, someone wants to put women drivers or male bodybuilders into Room 101, there should be no backlash from anyone associated with that group. This is, after all, all meant to be taken in fun and I would hope it would be treated in that light, and that people will enter into the spirit of it.
