You all seemingly have **** all to say about hiphop.

Numerous threads in that section that have the potential to be quality threads have resulted in lackluster responses from the board.

So just remember next time you contemplate dissing me forsticking to the non nusic sections, just remember: it's cause you guys collectively suck at hip hop, most likely cause you're white as ****

I don't really know how to talk about hip hop. I love hip hop though. My top ten this year has a lot of hippity hop.

I don't do much of the music discussions because it requires thought. I'm just too busy working too ****ing much, yall.

Lol. I was just thinking of asking for some hip-hop recs. seeing as Liquid Swords recently took over the spot of my second favorite album of all-time as well as Madvillany and MF DOOM's two albums all entering my top 50 in sweeping fashion.

Omg what the hell have you been listening too?^ oooo I know some white people music riddleded with angst.

To preface my response, I have only heard 9 full rap albums in my life (I haven't updated this list with Madvillainy and MF DOOM yet)...
Hip-hop album I listened to

... But! Based on bits and pieces of other artists I've heard already my favorite kind of hip-hop so far has been the uber, uber, UBER dark, low-key, wildly hypnotic kind of hip-hop. I'd still probably call "The World Is Yours" my favorite rap song ever. I've played it 71000 times and it still mezmerizes me with each listen (the piano is ****ing hypnotic.)

After I heard LS for the first time, I tried 36 Chambers, and that did almost nothing for me (with the notable exception being "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing To **** With!" because that is A-grade badassery) because it wasn't as "professional" as I'd like.

EDIT: I don't have a problem with angst-ridden hip-hop.

I hope our next president passes a law allowing white people to listen to hip hop
